Artist's Comments

The chainmail is 18 gauge, 3/16" stainless steel, edged in 16 gauge, 3/16" brass. The coif and hauberk are separate pieces. The belt is a piece of leather thong wrapped around a single 16 gauge, 1/4" ring at the end, and glued in place. The battle axe was made from an aluminum angle bracket, carved with a band saw and dremel tool, and fastened to a wooden dowel with glue and more leather thong. The bear is a cinnamon-scented 8" bear we found at a thrift store.

Unfortunately, the bear has gone missing. I believe I left him on my roof when driving away from a ren faire. However, I fortunately had good pictures taken before that happened.

Yea, I know. I was so pissed when I got home, and searched the car, and he wasn't there. It took a while to infer what must have happened.

Heh. Thanks a lot. I was particularly proud of the axe. You know, I do chainmail all the time, so I knew I could do the hauberk and coif alright. But the axe is beyond my normal craft. So, that was were I really impressed myself.

I, too, offer my condolences as to Cinnamon's recent disappearance. Mayhap he was kidnapped by the nefarious Onion Badger?

You never know. I tend to assume some faire goer had a nice surprise when walking through the parking lot latter that night.
